The RIM Drive Outboard 15.0 is a 15kW, 48-volt electric motor. Instead of a normal propeller spinning on a central metal shaft, it uses a rim drive. The blades attach to a spinning ring along the outside edge. This eliminates tangled fishing lines and leaky shaft seals.
